Michael J. Joanne P. Elliott is co-founded Elliott & Associates and has practiced law since 1984.  She represents commercial and industrial property owners, hotel owners and community associations helping reduce their property taxes. 
As a recognized leader in Cook County tax incentives, Joanne was appointed to the Cook County Incentive Task Force and has testified on tax incentive legislation before the Cook County Board. She is also frequently called to provide advice, testimony and guidance to the Illinois legislatature.

Joanne has been involved in leadership roles at several bar and trade associations, including, the American Bar Association, the Illinois State Bar Association State and Local Taxation Counsel (member and past Chairman) and International Association of Assessing Officials.  She is a frequent writer, lecturer and speaker on property tax issues.

Lauren C. Elliott is an Attorney at Elliott & Associates and has been practicing law since 2014.  She joined Elliott with nearly 5 years’ experience in civil litigation with a prominent personal injury law firm and a personal injury defense firm.  Lauren now practices exclusively in the real estate tax area.

Lauren represents property owners before the Cook County Assessor, Cook and collar county Boards of Review and the Property Tax Appeal Board. You will frequently find her arguing, settling, trying cases and obtaining top-notch results.

Lauren has been designated an Emerging Lawyer by her peers (an award reserved for the top 2% of Illinois lawyers aged 40 years or under).  She received this honor at age 28.

Melissa Whitley is a Partner at Elliott and Associates.   Melissa has helped Elliott clients lower their property taxes since 2013.   Prior to joining our firm, she practiced for ten years with another that focused its practice on real estate tax appeals and real estate transactions.  Melissa practices before the Cook County Assessor, Cook and Collar County Boards of Reviews, and the Property Tax Appeal Board.  She also oversees our tax incentive and exemption departments – frequently obtaining tax exemptions and appearing before municipalities to obtain tax incentives for our clients.

Eileen A. Sergo is an Associate Attorney at Elliott & Associates and has practiced law since 2010. She has worked in the real estate tax field since 2000 and has significant experience advocating for taxpayers. Prior to joining Elliott in 2019, Eileen worked for several Cook County real estate tax appeal law firms and a national consulting firm.

Eileen practices before the Cook County Assessor, Cook County and Collar County Boards of Review and the Property Tax Appeal Board.  She is frequently involved in settling and trying tax appeal cases before Boards of Review and the PTAB. Her 20+ years of property tax appeal experience has proven to be invaluable to our firm and our clients. Eileen also manages our PTAB team.

Thomas Glynn has been helping Elliott & Associates’ clients lower their property taxes since 2013. He joined Elliott with over 12 years of experience in the appraisal industry.

As a Senior Commercial Analyst, Tom understands real estate valuation from both an appraiser’s and tax appeal attorney’s point of view.  His unique perspective has proven to be invaluable for Elliott’s commercial, hospitality and industrial clients.  He is a thought leader who provides market research and valuation insights to our attorneys and staff and helps develop winning valuation strategies.  Tom also assists in the preparation and settlement of tax appeals and responding to client questions.

Ioanna Hasan joined Elliott & Associates in 2021 as a Senior Commercial Analyst. Prior to joining Elliott, Ioanna worked as a real estate broker and in management of commercial real estate.
